Share with respect for others
These rules apply to all content published on KitAndTell: setups, equipment pages, photos, reviews, profiles, usernames, avatars, categories, tags and links. They also apply to edits to existing content.
Prohibited content and behavior
- Pornography: posting pornographic images, videos or text, or links to such content.
- Hate: posting statements that incite hatred or violence against a person or group.
- Harassment: threatening, intimidating, humiliating or repeatedly targeting someone.
- Disclosure of personal information: posting someone else's private information without permission, such as an address, phone number, private contact details or identity documents.
- Spam: repeatedly or excessively posting unsolicited content, advertisements or links.
- Fraudulent links: sharing phishing or scam links, or links intended to steal information or distribute malware.
- Racism: posting racist insults, images or statements, or promoting discrimination or the superiority of a group based on skin color, origin or actual or perceived ethnicity.
Reporting and moderation
An account's first publication (setup or equipment page) must be approved before becoming public. Equipment created with a setup is reviewed together. While awaiting approval, you may edit your submission, but cannot submit another or post reviews. If rejected, the reason appears in “My publications and approvals”, where you can resubmit your corrected content.
Daily quotas apply to setups, equipment and reviews. Equipment created within a setup also counts. View your limits and counters in My publications and approvals. They reset at midnight UTC; deleting content does not restore quota.
You can report setups, reviews, photos, avatars, profiles and equipment pages from the relevant pages. Sign in, use the report button and specify the reason. To report a photo, select its thumbnail under “Report a photo”. Profile and avatar reports are available on the profile page.
Moderators review reports and may hide the content concerned or suspend an account. Suspension blocks sign-in and existing sessions. Decisions are recorded in a history accessible only to moderators; content can be restored and suspensions lifted after review.
